Stone Wool

Stone wool is made from basalt, an inorganic raw material, which is obtained domestically. It is produced through heating basalt at 1350°C - 1400°C and transforming it into fibres. It can be manufactured in the forms of blanket, board, pipe or loose in different size and with different technical properties, with different facing materials according to the intented use and the place of use. It is used for thermal insulation, sound insulation, acoustic comfort as well as fire safety.

Izocam Taşyünü (Stone Wool) has EUCEB certificate since 2008.

Sıkça Sorulan Sorular ?
WHAT IS EUCEB?

It is the certification authority monitoring mineral wool products that are not classified as carcinogenic according to EUCEB (European Certification Board for mineral wool products) 1272/2008 /EC numbered European Directive. Glass wool and stone wool products that have EUCEB Certificate are fibres proved not to be carcinogenic.

Why is EUCEB certificate important?

Glass wool and stone wool products with EUCEB Certificate are fibres proved not to be carcinogenic. Because of this, EUCEB certificate is very important for mineral wool products. Independent sampling institution takes samples from manufacturers with the certificate biannually, and sends this sample to an independent test centre for the chemical analysis. The received results are checked by EUCEB Quality Board. In addition, facilities share the reports of fibres belonging to the product they produce each week regularly with EUCED and reports are audited by independent experts. Therefore, EUCEB guarantee continues for the duration of the certificate. EUCEB Certificate proves that Izocam Stone Wool and Izocam Glass Wool products are not harmful for health for the duration of their use.
