İzocamSaid “Stop” To The Wastes Reaching The Sea

Inspired by the nature and supporting what is natural, İzocam held an important event on the Istanbul Bebek coast with a view to leaving blue shores and a living sea to future generations. In cooperation with Deniz Temiz Derneği/Turmepa and Aktif Balık Adamlar teams, volunteered İzocam employees cleaned the shore and seabed for 3 hours, collecting 11 kilograms of waste in just 30 minutes.

Inspired by the nature and supporting what is natural in every step it takes, İzocam has recently held an important event drawing attention to the pollution in our seas. A team consisting of 18 volunteered İzocam employees came together on July 20th, 2022 at the Istanbul Bebek coast against marine pollution from land waste. In the event, which was held jointly with Deniz Temiz Derneği (Clean Sea Association)/Turmepa (Turkish Marine Environment Protection Association) and Aktif Balık Adamlar Spor Kulübü Derneği (Active Aquanauts Sports Club Association), shore and seabed cleaning was carried out with the aim of leaving blue shores and a living sea to future generations. Emphasizing that we need to say "stop" to marine pollution originating from land waste so that we can leave blue shores and a living sea to future generations, İzocam Human Resources Director Ms. Gözdehan Çaycı said, “As İzocam, we have formed a volunteer team consisting of our colleagues to draw attention to this important issue. Our team, which managed to collect 11 kilograms of paper, plastic, metal, glass and non-recyclable waste in just 30 minutes within the event held on the Istanbul Bebek coast, completed the shore and seabed cleaning in a 3-hour collaborative effort. A total of 35 kilograms of waste was removed from the sea and sent to recycling facilities. Our volunteer team, which came together with the goal of making the world a better home, is preparing to continue its works with different activities in the coming days.”

The EUCEB certificate proves that the fibers that penetrate the body through the skin and respiration are dissolved and removed from the body. This certificate indicates that mineral wools are produced in accordance with European Union regulations and are regularly inspected by independent experts. Hence, the bio-degradability of products with EUCEB certificate is proven at international standards.
In addition to the EUCEB Certificate, which is regularly audited and checked for compliance by BCCA (Belgian Construction Certification Association), İzocam Glass Wool and İzocam Stone Wool have also been certified by TSE (Turkish Standards Institution), CE (Conformité Européene), ISO (International Standards Organization) 9001 Quality Assurance System, ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System Certificates. In addition to offering thermal and sound insulation at high standards, İzocam brand mineral wools increase the fire safety of buildings with their A1 class non-combustible feature.
