İzocam employees came together on Wednesday, July 20th, 2022, at the Istanbul Bebek coast to leave blue shores and a living sea for future generations. In cooperation with Turmepa and Aktif Balık Adamlar teams, İzocam employees cleaned the coast and seabed for 3 hours with a view to making the world a better home.
A volunteer team of 18 people, consisting of İzocam employees, met at Istanbul Bebek Coast on July 20th, 2022, against marine pollution caused by terrestrial wastes. They organized coastal and bottom cleaning activities jointly with the “Deniz Temiz Derneği (Clean Sea Association)/Turmepa (Turkish Marine Environment Protection Association)” and “Aktif Balık Adamlar Spor Klubü Derneği (Active Aquanauts Sports Club Association)”.
İzocam Export Manager Mr. Onur Gören, who has 3 brevets and a CMAS (World Confederation of Underwater Activities) certificate cleaned the seabed at the event. Turmepa and Aktif Balık Adamlar Spor Klubü Derneği supported the event with a special content they created through awareness activities, trainings and games.
The team, which managed to collect 11 kg of paper, plastic, metal, glass and non-recyclable waste in just 30 minutes, completed the coastal and seabed cleaning in 3-hours. The volunteer team of İzocam, which came together to make the world a better home, is preparing to continue its work with different projects in the coming days.
