İzocam Is Breaking Records In Production With Targeted Investments!

İzocam, the leading brand that allocates 55 percent of its in-plant investment budget for 2022 to efficiency, maintenance and renewal, continues to break records in every field, from production to scrap levels, from carbon emission reduction to energy consumption amounts.

Raising the bar for success every year with its projects and investments, İzocam breaks records in production on one hand and continues to carry out successful activities by achieving its goals in the fields of energy saving and occupational safety and environment on the other.
İzocam General Director Mr. Murat Savcı stated that they have allocated 55 percent of their 2022 investment budget to efficiency, maintenance and renewal works, 25 percent to sustainability and envrionment, health and safety (EHS), and the remaining 20 percent to digitalization and customer satisfaction. Stating that they have made a number of investments in this context, Mr. Savcı emphasized that they have reached record levels in their production as a result of these investments. Noting that they broke the historical record of the facility by producing close to 45 thousand tons of glass wool in their Tarsus facility, Mr. Murat Savcı said that they broke the production record of the last 3 years by producing nearly 60 thousand tons of stone wool at their Dilovası facility. İzocam General Director Mr. Murat Savcı noted that another record that the Dilovası facility broke was the lowest scrap level record.

Energy consumption of İzocam is decreasing with each passing year even though its production is increasing
Reminding that the founding purpose of İzocam, which was founded 57 years ago, has been set forth as developing environmentally friendly and sustainable insulation solutions that take into account the safety of life and property and provide energy saving and comfort without harming natural resources, Mr. Murat Savcı emphasized that they still maintain the characteristics of being a company that works with the motivation of efficient use of resources, climate change, construction of sustainable structures, energy saving, protecting the environment and improving the quality of life. Noting that they have implemented recycling and efficiency projects by establishing energy monitoring systems in Stone Wool and Glas Wool production facilities within the framework of both carbon emission reduction and energy savings projects targets, Mr. Murat Savcı stated that 13 percent energy savings were achieved in the Tarsus facility and 15 percent in the Dilovası facility.

İzocam has also achieved its targets in terms of environment and occupational safety!
Emphasizing that as İzocam, they have achieved successes that make a difference by achieving their goals in environmental and occupational safety issues, Mr. Murat Savcı made the following statements:
“The flue gas filter investment we made at the Tarsus Facility is at the forefront of our environment and occupational health and safety projects. With this environmentally friendly technological investment we made to ensure that our facility works in the most compatible way with environmental conditions, we aimed to reach air emission values at world standards. With this investment, which we commissioned in August 2021, we have reached the level of approximately 1/3 of the limit value mandated by the authorities. Thus, with the new flue gas filter, we aim to take our contribution to a sustainable world to the next level.
At the same time, we were entitled to receive the Basic Level Zero Waste Certificate in all our facilities. It was our Tarsus Facility that has first received the said certificate, and all our remaining facilities recevied it by the end of last year. This document issued by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization of the Republic of Turkey indicates that the facility has completed a series of processes involving the prevention of wastes at a basic level, the more efficient use of resources, the prevention or minimization of waste generation by eliminating the causes of waste generation, and sorting and collection of waste separately at the source in cases where it must occur and ensuring its recycling.
Our another important achievement as İzocam was achieving the 'Zero Occupational Accident' target at our facilities. As of April this year, our Eskişehir Facility has reached its 4th accident-free year in a row, and our Tarsus Facility has reached its 1000th work-accident-free day in a row. Saint-Gobain deemed İzocam worthy of the "Safety Diamond" award in the “Safety Cultural Transformation” category given within the framework of the “Occupational Health, Safety and Environment (EHS) Awards” announced every year with the decision of an international jury. We are very happy to have this special award, the award presentation ceremony of which will take place in September.
