İzocam, Türkiye’s insulation leader for the past 60 years, has made the strategic decision to cease production at its Dilovası stone wool facility in alignment with its sustainability-, modern production-, and efficiency-driven strategy.
As the founder and long-standing leader of Türkiye’s insulation industry, İzocam continues to reshape its production structure around modernization, efficiency, and sustainability. Today, the company manufactures seven product groups at five production facilities. As part of its transition to more environmentally friendly and high-efficiency technologies, İzocam has decided to halt production at its first facility in Dilovası, effective December 28, 2025.
Once all operational processes are completed, the facility is planned to be closed, while İzocam will continue stone wool production without interruption at its modern, high-capacity new facility in Kayseri. This step represents a significant pillar of the company’s strategy to carry its six decades of expertise into the future through more advanced, environmentally friendly, and sustainable production infrastructure.
İzocam Managing Director Murat Savcı stated that, under the 2025 motto “We Are the Future,” İzocam aims to advance its industry leadership, reliability, and eco-friendly production approach. He emphasized that the
decision to cease production in Dilovası reflects the company’s long-term efficiency and sustainability priorities. Savcı said: “We continue to shape our operations not only for today’s conditions but also in line with the needs of tomorrow. Guided by this vision, we anchor our investments in sustainability, efficiency, environmental responsibility, and full compliance with international standards, while phasing out outdated and low-efficiency technologies. We have carefully assessed the current state of our Dilovası facility for some time and reviewed all possible options comprehensively. Technical feasibility and return-on-investment analyses showed that the facility’s current technology is not sustainable, and the required modernization investment would not yield adequate returns. As a result, our Board of Directors decided to discontinue production at the facility, as renewal was not deemed a viable option.” Savcı also underscored that this decision will not affect production at other facilities and that all operations, including stone wool production, will continue without interruption across İzocam’s remaining sites.
A Transparent and Controlled Transition
Announcing the Board’s decision to halt production at the Dilovası facility effective December 28, 2025, Savcı stated that the entire process is being carried out in a planned and controlled manner, in full compliance with employee rights, company values, and legal requirements, supported by transparent communication with all stakeholders. “Our commitment is to continue providing uninterrupted service to our stakeholders while elevating İzocam’s production infrastructure to a more modern and sustainable level. With our high-energy-efficiency products, we will continue to contribute to Türkiye’s energy savings targets. İzocam remains firmly committed to carrying its industry leadership into the future with a modern, environmentally friendly, and efficient production philosophy, supporting our country’s energy savings targets,” he added.
İzocam’s Vision for the Future
Savcı emphasized that, under its 60th-anniversary motto “We Are the Future,” İzocam will continue advancing sustainable production, modern technologies, capacity expansion, and global competitiveness. He outlined the company’s forward-looking vision:
“İzocam is committed not only to developing high-energy-efficiency products, but also to building an ecosystem that reduces environmental impact, promotes recycling, and aligns with modern production technologies for Türkiye’s sustainable future. In the coming period, our strategic priorities will include digitalizing our production processes, increasing our operational efficiency, and expanding environmentally friendly solutions that meet global standards. We will further strengthen our industry leadership by expanding our R&D capacity, enhancing our impact in international markets, and implementing innovative insulation solutions that support Türkiye’s energy saving targets.”
