Our world now calls recyclable waste as the "seventh natural resource" after air, water, coal, oil, natural gas and minerals. As İzocam, we attach importance to producing products that use recyclable materials even though not required by the laws in our country, do not harm human health and are proven to be environmentally friendly. We use up to 80% recycled materials, called the "seventh natural resource", in our production. While we serve sustainability with our products containing at least 30% recycled content, we also reuse production residues in product manufacturing. İzocam mineral wool, which contains environmentally-friendly materials, is among the best-known and most reliable products in the world. İzocam is the first manufacturer in the Turkish insulation sector to have the EUropean CErtification Board for mineral wool products (EUCEB) certificate, a certificate that proves the fibers resulting from the product that penetrate the body through the skin and breathing are harmlessly eliminated from the body. We have been making continuous investments for many years to equip İzocam Stone Wool and Glass Wool products with EUCEB certification. EUCEB proves that the fibers resulting from the product that penetrate the body through the skin and respiration are excreted from the body by dissolution and are also dissolved spontaneously in nature. EUCEB certifies that the mineral wool is produced in accordance with European Union regulations and is regularly inspected by independent experts. Hence, EUCEB certificate proves that the products bearing the EUCEB logo on their packaging comply with the conditions and quality standards determined for human health. These non-carcinogenic products equipped with EUCEB certificate are regularly inspected and do not pose a threat to human health throughout their lifetime. For this reason, the EUCEB logo on İzocam brand glass wool and stone wool products has a much deeper meaning than just a sign. The EUCEB logo is an important indicator that we need to act with awareness in insulation for a sustainable and healthy future.
Additionally, İzocam brand polystyrene-based XPS (extruded polystyrene) and EPS (expanded polystyrene) products do not contain hexabromocyclododecane (HBCD), a permanent organic pollutant banned in our country as of November 2019. Thus, our XPS and EPS products are produced within the framework specified by the laws in a way that will not harm the environment and human health.
It is of great importance that consumers are informed in detail about the right insulation materials and the right insulation applications before applying thermal insulation.
