Thermal loss, insulation materials, Energy Efficiency Statute regulations and Energy Performance in Building Statute topics have been addressed in “Building Envelope Design Seminar” which is organised by Chamber of Civil Engineers Adana Branch.
“Building Envelope Design Seminar” which is organized by Chamber of Civil Engineers Adana Branch and in which Izocam Adana Regional Manager Civil Engineer Serhat Serkan was a speaker was conducted at April 19. The seminar, in which thermal loss, thermal bridges, insulation and insulation materials were talked about, also covered regulations under Energy Efficiency Statute, Energy Performance in Buildings Regulations and Turkey Thermal Regions topics.
Serkan have called attention to that application obligation regarding “looking for EKB (Energy Identification Certificate) for proceedings related to buying, selling, and renting of buildings or independent parts” for existing buildings will start at January 1, 2020.
Serhat Serkat who pointed out that in this sense, the steps taken in the upcoming period will act as lever for energy efficiency industry, specified these developments as; re-defining the annual targets to improve energy efficiency in public buildings, municipalities determining opportunities for energy efficiency and apply the measurements, raising the awareness of end users to improve energy efficiency with thermal insulation in building industry, improving the technical and administrative capacity regarding Energy Identification Certificate and increasing the ratio of existing building that have energy identification certificate with awareness studies.
In addition to these, Serkan also pointed out the importance of generalising the use of green certificate which includes certificating sustainable green buildings and settlements and environmental effects, and the necessity to encourage the investments which are needed to improve the existing minimum energy performance class of C to B or A class for buildings that are new and will be bought/rented. He also emphasised that providing direct or indirect support for building owners, using Energy Performance Agreements (EPS) that allow needed investments for energy efficiency to be afforded by savings to improve energy efficiency in public buildings, to extend survey support that is offered for KOBİs by KOSGEB to include commercial and service buildings of determined size which are not required for surveys.
Izocam Adana Regional Manager Serhat Serkan have also addressed the topics of generalising the application of energy efficiency projects with supportive or low interest-rate credits, reduce energy density in each industry sub-sector by at least 10% with industry collaborations, the support of projects with high savings potential by increasing the efficiency increasing project application process.
