As thermal insulation varies depending on regions, fire insulation too varies depending on the height and location of buildings. For example, with the recent change in the regulation, the obligation to apply “stone wool” for buildings with 7 floors or more, is now required for buildings 28.5 m or higher.

Fire can quickly get out of control in a building with no insulation, whereas a building insulated with stone wool does not catch fire and emit smoke.
