While the applications continue for the 15th Insulation Contest organized by Izocam, the jury to evaluate the projects has been announced. The jury will evaluate the projects seeking answer to “What is “sustainable housing” in Astana’s extreme climate conditions?”. The ranking projects, which are to be delivered until 6th April, will represent our country in the International Multi-Comfort House Contest.
The applications continue for the 15th Insulation Contest organized by Izocam. The subject of the contest is "Sustainable Residence, Sustainable City". It is expected from students to design sustainable buildings communing with the new urban place complying with EXPO’s theme of “Future Energy” by taking into consideration the extreme continental climate conditions of Astana.
The jury that is formed by the academicians and the expert architects competent in sound insulation, fire safety, ecological buildings and building physics has been determined for the 15th Insulation Contest of Izocam. The jury of the contest is formed by Prof. Dr. Abdurrahman Kılıç, academician in Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Istanbul Technical University (ITU), Prof. Dr. Celal Abdi Güzer, academician in Faculty of Architecture of Middle East Technical University (METU), Prof. Dr. Mehmet Çalışkan, academician in Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of METU, Ass. Prof. Dr. Gülten Manioğlu, academician in Faculty of Architecture of ITU, Durmuş Dilekçi, founder of Dilekçi Architecture, Erkan Şahmalı, founder of Günarda Project Management and Hakan Demirel, the partner of Suyabatmaz Demirel Architecture.
The undergraduate and graduate students of Architecture, Interior Architecture, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering can participate in the contest. At the end of the contest, the first winner will have 7 thousand TL, the second winner will have 5 thousand TL and the third winner will have 3 thousand TL as prize along with the right to represent our country in the international contest.
The students will be able to deliver the projects on 6th April 2015 at the latest for the contest of which applications started in November. The winners will be announced on the official website of the contest until 19th April 2015. The international contest, where the bests of 20 countries will compete, will be held on 27-30 May 2015 in Astana, Kazakhstan.
