İzocam Glass Wool Prefabricated Pipes are used thermal insulation on industrial pipes, heaters, central heating and solar power fittings. İzocam Glass Wool Prefabricated Pipes are made of glass wool having high thermal insulation characteristics. Available in two forms as unfaced and coated with aluminium foil, glass wool prefabricated pipes offer effective solutions in insulation of pipes, protecting them against sweating (condensation) or freezing. They also avoid vibration in pressurized water pipes and undesired sound transmission and distribution to ensure more comfortable spaces.
Glass Wool Prefabricated Pipe is chosen according to the nominal diameter of the pipe line and placed by parting cut line. The application is completed so that no gap is left between the joints. Unfaced pipes are coated with bituminous emulsions or bituminous membranes (underground applications), galvanized or aluminium jackets depending on the area of use. Coating joints are fastened by adhering, clamping, reveting or screwing. Glass wool prefabricated pipes coated with aluminium foil for interior applications are used without requiring further coating.
For pipes coated with aluminium foil and used for insulation of cold lines, adhesive tape on overlap allowance and vapour barrier foil coating make the installation easier. In this application, the joints of both pipes should be sealed with 7.5 cm wide self-adhesive aluminium foil stripes to prevent the vapour passage. If a double layer application is performed for the pipe installation, joint of the second layer should be lined up with the bottom of the pipe and joints must be staggered.
İzocam Valve Jackets are manufactured from noncohesive white glass wool blanket or stone wool industrial blanket, with silicone on the outer side and faced with silicone-free glass tissue which is resistant to 500 ˚C on the inside. They are used for thermal insulation of all kinds of valves (piston valve, globe valve, butterfly valve, etc.) which are manufactured according to DIN, ANSI and API standards as well as strainers at indoor and outdoor spaces.
In application, a valve jacket is chosen according to the valve to be insulated or a custom-made jacket is prepared. Valve jacket is wrapped around the valve and the hooks are tightly attached to each other by the help of the string. The valves are checked for any vapour leaks before the installation. If a leak is inspected, the installation takes place after the leak is fixed. Valve and flanges should be insulated completely and the valve jacket should be mounted on the insulated pipe to which the valve is connected, minimum 50 mm beginning from the flanges.
