İzocamflex Elastomeric Rubber, used on external surfaces of cooling, ventilation and air conditioning systems and pipelines for thermal insulation and condensation control, is under the lime lights with its effective insulation solutions especially in cooling systems.
İzocamflex is manufactured for thermal insulation and condensation control of air conditioning, heating and cooling systems. Based on an elastomeric rubber, İzocamflex has close porosity and even cell structure. It is available in three forms: uncoated in form of plates, aluminium foil coated and self-adhesive. İzocamflex Prefabricated Pipe, manufactured for insulation of pipes with a diameter range of 6 to 160 mm, is uncoated.
Having a closed porosity structure, İzocamflex is highly resistant to water vapour and its water vapour diffusion resistance coefficient which is one of the most important parameters in condensation control along with the thickness is significantly higher than other insulation materials. Its water vapour diffusion resistance coefficient which is indicated in m(mü) is over 7000. Thanks to high level of resistance against water vapour passage, İzocamflex can prevent condensation while offering effective thermal insulation with its low thermal conductivity.
İzocamflex is most often used in cooling systems. It prevents temperature increase in cooling systems due to thermal gain in the cold fluid while avoiding condensation on pipes or equipment and losses due to corrosion for instance. Made of a flexible material, İzocamflex can be used as an insulation material to fight the heat and condensation in all parts of the cooling systems including pipes, tank, warehouse, air conditioning ducts etc.
When using İzocamflex, the insulation surface and the inner section of the rubber should overlap completely. Joints must also be adhered together to ensure leak-tightness. It is very important that the application is protected for perforation and tearing. In applications under sunlight, it is advised to use a protective coat or a protective paint for UV impacts. Also, outdoor applications must be covered within maximum of 5 days. Carefully considering the environmental conditions is required to choose the best material and to calculated the accurate thickness.
